This North American industry leader has an immediate full-time opportunity in Dallas, TX for a Senior Manager Network, Telecom Services, and MDM.  This is a work from home position, but will need to come onsite at times to assist with MDM team and/or network team when needed.  Will be responsible for leading a team of 4 that is responsible for Network, Telecom, and Mobile Device Management (MDM). The Senior Manager is ultimately responsible for final network designs and architecture of the network monitored by the Network, Telecom, and MDM teams. Will be responsible for the enterprise telecommunications expense management including but not limited to invoice processing and audits, contract audits, contract negotiation, validation of services and inventory, billing dispute and resolution, telecom, and mobile device asset management, and implementing process improvements and optimizations where needed.  This role will work closely with various teams including IT, Finance, Real Estate, Facilities and Operations while also fostering partnerships with telecom carriers and vendor partners. Also, this position will interact with subject matter experts in corporate and field mobile device management, including iPads, iPhones, Android phones, as well as other tablets and mobile devices. This position will act as an escalation point for Network, Telecom, and MDM support, deployment, management, and implementation. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Managing and directing teams to ensure timely completion of enterprise mobile device management services, including configuring, deploying, monitoring, activating, and troubleshooting a variety of handheld devices.   
  • Working closely with various teams in IT and Business Units, delegating troubleshooting efforts to team and resolving issues including operational process around requesting, provisioning, and reclaiming company mobile devices.
  • Ensuring teams perform timely updates and resolution of assigned incident and change tickets within established Service Level Agreements (SLA), using ServiceNow for creating and working incidents and change records.   
  • Actively participating in the development, documentation, and enforcement of standards, procedures, and IT policies relating to mobile device management and telecom expense management.  
  • Providing leadership and cross-training to increase efficiency within the Network, Telecom & MDM teams.    
  • Tracking, logging, and managing inventory database for all devices, including key information such as Device ID, model, firmware, O/S version, user, phone number, service plan, etc. including review and coordination of loaner pool process.
  • Maintaining stability and uptime of Network Infrastructure – Security posture, capacity, system versioning.
  • Leading and working independently during escalations and on-call support. Acting as escalation point for Network Operations support and incidents that arise.
  • Providing system management and audit reporting on a regular basis. Providing reports and analytics of all mobility usage and compliance as requested.  
  • Liaising with telecommunication vendors to collect usage data, providing input to build spend forecast models and preparing monthly spend variance analysis.
  • Reviewing telecom invoice charges monthly to determine compliance to inventory records and negotiated rates.
  • Preparing reports of telecom spending and variances.
  • Checking invoice and inventory for errors and initiating disputes with carriers as needed.
  • Gathering telecom contracts and inventory information from various internal and external sources as needed to establish Telecom Expense Management baselines.
  • Working with internal business teams as needed to assist in achieving telecom optimal cost efficiencies.  Key partnerships will be made within IT Infrastructure and Finance areas.
  • Conducting data mining and research for telecom accounts as needed.
  • Analyzing contracts for renegotiation planning, appropriate rates, and discounts.
  • Creating and maintaining telco audit reports for internal review and archiving.
  • Producing ad hoc data analysis as needed to determine root cause to issues and provide the “information story” to management.  
  • Providing telecom expense information to Project Managers as needed to complete project plans and forecasts.
  • Adhering to all corporate guiding principles, processes, policies, standards, and procedures.  
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in managing network engineering, telecom, and/or MDM teams.
  • 3 years of experience working with telecommunications billing or in the telecommunications industry. Focus areas include carrier billing for POTS Lines, Voice, Data, Mobile Devices, Internet, Wi-Fi, VOIP and other advanced IT communications services.
  • 2+ years of previous work experience in Network Engineering a plus.
  • High-level knowledge of configuring and provisioning mobile devices.
  • High-level knowledge of building device profiles and deploying applications to mobile devices.
  • Experience in a service delivery role either within a supplier or client environment.
  • Good working knowledge of MS O365 and MS Active Directory Services.
  • Hands-on experience using Enterprise Mobility Management Portals; AirWatch and Intune experience is a plus.

  • Show abilities to communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, business partners and internal team members at all levels and across functional and organizational boundaries.
Key Technologies:
  • Microsoft Technologies – O365 products Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Visio.  Must possess some knowledge of MS Excel, MS Flow, MS Forms
  • Cisco Routing/Switching/Firewalling, Cisco Meraki SD-WAN, high level experience required.
  • Cisco CCNA not required, but is a plus
  • Working knowledge of telecom vendor management portals.  Experience with Verizon, Tangoe, and/or Sakon is a plus.
  • AirWatch and/or Microsoft Intune experience is a plus
