POSITION:   Senior Java Developer

 

LOCATIONS: Atlanta, GA - Various unanticipated long term projects throughout the US.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Develop applications using Java/J2EE and Web Services, Java 8, Gemfire, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Responsive Web Design. Use Java 1.8, Spring boot, Spring Cloud. Develop REST APIs. Perform continuous development and Continuous Integration (CICD). Deliver business critical, high volume, and highly available micro service. Test Driven Development (TDD) and testing tools such as Junit and LeanFT. Cloud based development leveraging Cloud Foundry in PaaS environment. Use of BitBucket for source control. Design and develop high-volume, low-latency micro services for critical systems, delivering high availability and performance. Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review. Write well designed testable, efficient code. Ensure designs comply specifications. Prepare and produce releases of software components. Apply internal standards for re-use, architecture, testing and general best practices. Work closely with solution development team, interfacing team, functional team, business analysts, and global/regional program/project stakeholders. Be comfortable introducing new technologies and new ideas as required. Build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders. Automation of CI/CD processes for the micro services. Deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions. Develop unit testing modules to validate developed code.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related degree. Foreign equivalents accepted.

2 years related experience in software development.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience is required and must include the following: Designing, developing, and implementing web-based Java applications to support business requirements; Developing new applications that serve existing software systems; Designing and implementing Springboot REST webservices; Configuring CICD pipelines such as Jenkins to build and deploy applications; and Utilizing J2EE, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Struts, PL/SQL, Eclipse, and JavaScript.
