Position: Senior Financial Analyst
Location: Plano, Texas 75024
Term: 8 Months Contract
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Coordination/Collaboration?with program delivery leads, program managers, and project managers.
  • Maintain an understanding of project deliverables as defined in specific capex documents.
  • Assure an understanding of project deliverables as estimated and planned.
  • Create PO’s and process invoices with alignment.
  • Vendor Management (related to budget specific orders).
  • Drive progress against awarded program initiation and milestones that require the creation of PO’s.
  • Request and process invoices within 30 days of completion of work.
  • Quote Management.
  • Acquire – proactively request quotes from vendors, program managers, or project managers that is associated to the deliverables as defined in a program or capex.
  • Auditing; Hardware (i.e., Cabling) Estimate Auditing - validate quotes against project plans. Identify and explain variances when exceeding plan by more than 10%. Seek company lead’s approval before processing PO requests when variances exceed 10% of plan.
Project Support and Analysis
  • Partner with company and sector finance to release budgets in a timely manner after project investment approvals.
  • Support defined owner of budget.
  • Planning & estimates – develop budget and forecasts that are aligned with target delivery dates as defined by delivery leads or program managers.
  • Present financial reviews with company leadership each period – prepare and present forecast details. Presentation to include period and year to date actuals vs plan, period variance explanation, remainder of year period forecast.
Period Forecast/Period Close
  • Developing, Reporting & Oversight – to include the preparation of any journal entry required for transactions not accounted for by PO’s.
  • Prepare and enter period forecasts into Hyperion - upload financial forecast into Hyperion before scheduled due date.
  • Period Schedule with Key Finance Dates.
  • Internal team forecast review on Tuesday of week 1.
  • Hyperion entry by end of day, Wednesday, week 1.
  • Journal Entries before Tuesday, Week 4
  • Cross charges – provider adjustments during week 3.
Capex Financial Management
  • Track program spend against project plans and Capex.
  • Track and report risk and opportunities.
  • Reporting & Oversight.
  • Monitor project actuals.
  • Review Provider Cross Charge File and incorporate appropriate data into Forecast. Dispute charges when appropriate.
  • Variance analysis - perform monthly variance analysis and explain primary drivers for change.
Accrual Management (PO & Invoice Processing)
  • Creation - create all required purchase orders before end of year deadline.
  • Capitalization Reporting.
  • 3/5/10 Year Breakouts – prepare reconciliation of total cost per site in line with all sites included in each capex, along with BoM’s, serials and all other subledgers required to support capitalization process with breakdown as follows.
Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting Required.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting.
  • Experience in accounts payable and purchasing cycles of accounting.
  • Experience working in SAP financial modules. Experience with Hyperion.
  • Experience in financial planning or project accounting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work within Excel. Experience with advance formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.
  • Strong ability to present and speak to period forecasts.
  • Strong ability to partner with multiple company internal teams and external partners so to effectively manage and deliver period forecasts within plan.
  • Experience working in a global environment with stakeholders across multiple geographies.
  • Ability to work with virtual teams and lead finance related discussions.
  • Strong ability to identify and communicate financial risk to company Leaders.
  • Available to work in Central Standard Time.
