Summary of Work

Our client seeks one (1) Senior Business Systems Analyst to assist with their Information Technology (JCIT) office in the Enterprise Architecture Program. The resource will be responsible for providing analytical, contractual, financial, operational and various project related analysis that will allow the branch to achieve its objectives. 


Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required (in order of relative importance): 

  • 10 years of professional experience as a Sr. Business Analyst/Sr. Business Systems Analyst, with experience in:
    • Business and functional requirements
    • Performing and evaluating options -- identifying cost, pros and cons
    • Performing research, reviewing and assessing product/service information
    • Perform comprehensive product capabilities comparison and reporting
    • Effectively documenting and presenting findings in a clear, comprehensive, and cohesive manner
  • Experience in project financial management (budgeting, estimating, forecasting, tracking, accounting and reconciliation)
  • Experience with procurement processes including the creation of RFPs/RFIs, SOW, contracts, and procurement documentation
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences, including creating and presenting executive summaries to steering committees and other executive level leadership
  • Excellent written communication skills, including business and technical documentation, presentation materials, and correspondence
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Additional Skills/Qualifications Desired:             

  • Previous work history with the State of California, local, or Federal agencies
  • Prior experience working in an enterprise architecture program

Description of Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational support to the Enterprise Architecture (EA) Program
  • Perform procurement and contract management
  • Assist in financial tracking and management for the EA program and EA projects
  • Assist in drafting procurement documentation
  • Provide monthly status reports for all work performed and progress of program
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings as required for EA related activities
  • Provides support and maintenance for project collaboration SharePoint sites
  • Act as a point of contact for EA project as needed
