This fast growing industry leader has an immediate full-time opportunity in Grapevine, TX for a Senior Build Release Engineer.  Standard work hours will be 8am-5pm and you can work 4 days from home and 1 day in the office unless you'd prefer to work in the office 5 days per week.  Will work on a team of 5 and be heavily focused on tool administration. Will be administering the tools needed for the release and deployment process. Will also be responsible for any sort of modifications, to create and build plans for changes in the code base, as well as keep an efficient pipeline for delivering production level code for releases and maintaining that. This is a highly specialized role which requires experience administering and knowing the back end of these tools. Heavy focus on Docker/Kubernetes experience and being able to train he rest of the team on these containerization tools.  This will be a very high level/autonomous role leading the charge with the Kubernetes and Docker experience.  Requires strong On Prem experience.  Will assist in strategic planning of builds and deployments to multiple testing and production environments. Will manage source code repositories (provisioning, branching, and merging), build and release integration, and automated test execution. Will define and develop build plans, integration tasks and deployment pipelines that utilize CICD best practices. Will collaborate with QA, Development, and IT in configuring, implementing, testing and debugging the enterprise applications and systems. Will resolve issues that affect software release scope, risk, and quality. Will consult with testers, database administrators, and developers to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. Expected to write documentation to describe operational procedures and change controls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3-5+ years experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

  • 3-5+ years experience configuring, implementing and troubleshooting enterprise applications in a networked environment.

  • 1+ year experience with relational databases such as MYSQL server, SQL server, ORACLE server and client server concepts.

  • 2+ year experience with container technology preference in Docker, Kubernetes.

  • Extensive business and/or systems analysis skills.

  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and troubleshooting tools.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
