Security Engineer

We have a permanent opportunity for an IT Security Engineer in Temple, GA. The Security Engineer ensures that the risk to the organization’s information posed by a variety of cyber threats is minimized. The IT Security Engineer ensures that when incidents occur, they are dealt with promptly and effectively and the chance of that type of incident recurring is minimized.


  • Research the latest information technology security trends.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and update company’s information security strategy.
  • Develop and direct implementation of security standards and best practices for the organization.
  • Identify, define and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
  • Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
  • Oversee the cybersecurity awareness program for the company.
  • Educate and train staff on information system security best practices.
  • Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure software and hardware.
  • Develop, execute and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
  • Ensure that IT security audits are conducted periodically or as needed
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned.


  • BA or BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Five years of progressive experience in computing and information security, security policy development, security education, network penetration testing, application vulnerability assessments, risk analysis and compliance testing.
  • Knowledge of information security standards (e.g., PCI, ISO 27001, etc.), privacy and data confidentiality (e.g., SOX, ITGC, etc.) and security principles for risk identification and analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and Prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills.
  • Interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
This position will be a blend of onsite and remote work once trained. The business environment is casual dress with a cubicle for the work space. Free onsite parking.
