Long term contract in Plano, TX for a Security Awareness Analyst. Will run and oversee the activities, reporting and continued development of the security awareness program, system implementation, information security communications and trainings.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Help with the strategic vision and oversee efforts to continue to build global security awareness program that is digestible by all.
  • Act as a SME in partnership with the company and global partners on communications of incidences and awareness efforts.
  • Cultivates a culture of being a learning environment that’s inclusive of all levels of learning.
  • Ensure duplication of awareness efforts across all areas.
  • Ensure accurate reporting is provided so it can be communicated to executive management are regarding learning opportunities or non-compliance of their downstream teams.
  • Partner with InfoSec teams and help in development of their team’s learning objectives for on-going business needs.
  • Design, create and institute policies and procedures that encompasses the strategic direction of the awareness program.
  • Develop, coordinate and communicate the annual Security Awareness Training as well as Security Awareness monthly activities.
  • Litmos system implementation/configurations, SANS training setup and admin training for the global partners.
  • Manage weekly new hire training, reporting and escalations.
  • Mailbox management.
  • Quarterly Phishing simulations and reporting.
  • Regular maintenance of the InfoSec Institute and SharePoint pages.
  • Associate two-year College degree. 4-year college degree is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of information security experience (similar field/industry).
  • Cyber Risk Certification is preferred.
  • Experience in one or more of the following fields: IT, Cybersecurity, Corporate Communications, and/or Security Awareness.
  • Knowledge of ISO, NIST, SOX or other security compliance frameworks considered a plus.
  • Monitor information security industry news and blog posts for internal and external educational opportunities
  • Knowledge of multiple security areas such as: security architecture, identity management/governance, incident response, security risk, and audit/compliance functions.
  • Able to understand and develop department specific trainings with the assistance of SME’s.
  • Develop and communicate an annual engaging security awareness program and cybersecurity month activities.

  • Strong communication skills based on audience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Able to run simulated phishing exercises.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Cofense is preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Litmos Platform is preferred.
  • Prefer experience developing targeted trainings.
  • Social media and marketing experience considered. Communication and technical writing experience considered a plus.
