Long term contract in Plano, TX for a Scrum Master who has proven experience in past engagements and has exposure of managing multiple teams. Will be leveraged on multiple projects and will work with multiple teams. Will work with Hiring-Manager to build a new product.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Product Owner to create user stories for inclusion into the product backlog.
  • Ensure the language adheres to Scrum.
  • Assist the Product Owner and Project Manager to prioritize the product backlog.
  • Facilitate story point estimation.
  • Work with Product Owner for prioritized Epic User Stories.
  • Assist the Project Manager throughout the user story lifecycle.
  • Resolve impediments within their reach, escalate and track other impediments.
  • Protect the team from external disruptions.
  • Coach the team to self-organize and promotes continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate sprint planning, refinement, daily Scrum, sprint review and retrospective events.
  • Ensure Scrum events are effective and Agile/Scrum values are upheld.
  • BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related technical field or equivalent experience is required.
  • 5+ years as Scrum Master in large enterprise environments overseeing small to large teams directly and in matrix managed environments.
  • Have a strong understanding of Scrum methodology and should bring the coaching mentality to the team and help the team when they are struggling with Scrum ceremonies or impediments.
  • Prefer real-time experience over just Scrum certifications.
  • Has delivered a product not just the break-fix. Have worked on projects where approach was not finalized, or summation are not in place.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and organizational skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with technical and non-technical teams alike at all levels including senior management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide the efforts of small or large teams to successful project completion.
  • Ability to lead multiple Scrum teams at once, as required, and prioritize appropriately.
  • Ability to work with minimal direction is a must.
  • Skills with standard Agile and project management tools including Jira, Confluence, MS Project, MS Office, Visio etc.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is required.
  • Technical background with expertise in system development/implementation and maintenance/support is a plus.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) desired.
