As a member of the Continuous Improvement Team the Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and adoption of global standard processes & enhancements driven by varying components of the SAP platform.    Team members will need to collaborate with the Business Transformation, RCT, Product Development and Client Services teams to deliver these to the organization.


Essential Functions: In order of importance, list five of the most important duties using concise and cohesive statements.

  • Global Process Management
    • Participate in  Corporate strategic initiatives that drive transformational change as a subject matter expert in system usage, process impact and change management to achieve program directives.
    • Collaborate with SAP Teams,  Operations and third parties to document in detail requirements for SAP system or business process changes.
    • Initiate improvements to the SAP toolset with the aim of improving efficiency and productivity.
    • Ensuring that workflows and processes driven by system functionality stands up to the SAP and  Governance Structure and is fit-for-purpose.
    • Evaluate that all processes and proposed amendments are supported by Key Performance Indicators and these are visible and measurable.
    • Candidate should ensure that they are staying informed about developments within the SAP System, Agencies and Back Offices and that any impacted process' are continually evaluated.


  • Solution Adoption
    • In conjunction with the Business Transformation Team, actively monitor the various functional, business and geographical units to ensure that they are compliant with the existing SAP processes.
    • Work with management teams and local stakeholders to actively deploy the standard SAP Process and enhancements.
    • Evaluate change requests and support the resolution of these with stakeholders and SAP teams.
    • Ensure that all processes and enhancements are clearly communicated and supported by training and process documentation.
    • Negotiate with the relevant Process Owner, Agency and Shared Services to resolve conflicts and drive the adoption of standard agreed Process.
    • Manage, define and deploy independently, priority projects, as necessary.


  • Training/Communications
    • Candidates need to be proactive in initiating training where required and actively seek opportunities to enforce standard processes through training.
    • Collaborate with  Training Team to enhance training materials for specific learning needs.


  • Deployment Activities
    • Candidates may be involved in supporting the delivery of the SAP platform to new markets or Agencies.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: List the minimum level of experience and any special skills that are required to perform this job. Clearly define the number of years of experience and the areas of expertise this experience could be in.

  • Knowledge of or hands-on experience of the Media and the Advertising Industry.
  • Sound working knowledge of Agency, Back Office business processes.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP revenue recognition rules.
  • Detailed Knowledge of SAP system functionality and its application.
  • Sound understanding of Accounting & Finance. Recognized finance qualifications would be beneficial.
  • Be proactive, show initiative and creativity in the workplace.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must demonstrate that they are IT literate (Excel, Visio, Word)
  • Candidate needs to demonstrate that they have the ability to prepare accurate and detailed Business Process and Requirements Documents.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with staff, at all levels, and third parties.
    • Ability to demonstrate a high level of verbal and written English
    • Proficient at producing and presenting presentations with confidence.
    • Ability to develop strong relationships within the company and with third parties.
    • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence key decision makers
  • Candidate needs to be prepared to travel on a regular basis
  • Candidate needs to be prepared to:
    • Support the testing of the defined solution.
    • Train users in new solutions comfortably & confidently.
    • Provide PGL support of defined solutions and processes.
    • Support data conversion activities.
  • SAP User knowledge (ECC/AO/BW).
    • Sound user knowledge of ECC FI, SD and PS
    • Sound user knowledge of SAP MDG-S and SAP Ariba
    • Sound user knowledge of Analysis for office
