Compliance Risk Analyst

Grow your career as a Risk Governance Analyst with an innovative global bank in Irving, TX. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will start working remotely until offices reopen, then will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Engage with all levels of the organization related to risk, controls, and compliance as subject matter expert in critical compliance areas affecting the organization.
  • Interface regularly with Risk Organizations and keep in mind the need to assess inherent risk of organizational capabilities and services. Work with the capability owner to identify effective controls to mitigate or eliminate those risks, and design metrics to monitor the effectiveness of those controls. Reassess as needed.
  • Drive organization toward automated, systemic, and sustainable management, oversight, and exception reporting of risk mitigation and noncompliance.
  • Analyze issues and drive organization toward sustainable corrective actions with the goal of proactively eliminating future issues.
  • Utilize gold source systems and tools supporting the Operational Governance function.
  • Map key risks and critical controls to company policies to ensure alignment and compliance while addressing gaps as identified through these reviews.
  • Support and perform audit analysis, deliverable management, and gap analysis for audits.
  • Proactively identify operational issues and opportunities for improvement in key processes, escalate were needed, and partner with capability owner and team to drive automated and sustainable remediation.
 
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years performing Risk Management or Governance support for technical organizations.
  • Strong understanding and ability to implement Risk Management frameworks and methodologies into organizations.
  • A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
  • Demonstrable understanding of COBIT and other Risk Management frameworks.
  • Significant expertise in implementing processes to manage policy adherence.
  • Knowledge in current technologies/practices including DevOps/CI/CD, particularly in using these to design and implement controls will be a big plus.
  • Ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies.
