Role: Backend Software Engineer
Location: 100% remote
Salary: $130,000 - $170,000 (DOE) + Equity Shares 
Type: Permanent

POSITION OVERVIEW

Your mission is to architect and develop software that solves impactful user experience and business problems to help our client serve and delight their customers at scale. You'll work in a highly collaborative environment with other engineering, design, product, and healthcare professional teammates to help them continuously improve their products and team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing new and existing features on a the backend that power the core of their business and is used by thousands of healthcare professionals to manage their career and find the right job at the right time around the country.
  • Developing new and existing features on proprietary applications and services that enable them to provide an awesome experience for healthcare professionals and win in the marketplace. Examples include services that automate complex communication trees and business processes, a matching engine that measures the relevance of jobs across many vectors, real-time event and analytics pipelines, 3rd party service integrations, etc.
  • Collaborating with design, product, and business teammates to help make decisions around what they build and how they build it.
  • Using a variety of languages, systems, and technologies to own and solve problems end-to-end.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years’ experience with Ruby on Rails is highly preferred but also open to candidates with Django or other similar framework experience if you have otherwise exceptional experience (i.e. worked at high-growth tech startup and had good career advancement)
  • 5+ years’ experience writing production software that drives significant value for stakeholders
  • BS in CS, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent training and work experience
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and Git
  • Demonstrated UI/UX sensibility
