Position: Quality Assurance Engineer
Location: Simpsonville, SC, 29681
Term: 3 Months Contract
 
Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates and applies procedures and methods related to the RCI/Business Unit Quality Management System.
  • Ensures compliance of RCI/Business Unit products and processes.
  • Maintains a working relationship with key customer procurement organizations to the benefit of the customer and the company.
  • Ensures the company and supplier products shipped to customers meet applicable business unit and contractual requirements.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to the company engineering and life cycle leadership regarding product and process quality requirements.
  • Provides guidance and assistance to the company’s material and supply leadership during the requirement flow down, evaluation, selection and monitoring of suppliers.
  • Administers material review activities on the company and/or supplier products.
  • Administers an effective evaluation and audit program for the company or its supply base to ensure conformance to the company process and product requirements.
  • Utilizes Lean or Six Sigma tools to evaluate the company or supplier products and processes.
  • Analyzes root causes of deficiencies and ensures proper corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Participates in cross-functional team efforts to improve the company or supplier products and processes.
  • Delivers training materials to the company or suppliers related to the quality management system.
  • Creating and updating documents for FAA approval.
 
Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • BS is preferred but experience is more important (FAA Experience).
  • Experience with FAA quality system documents.
  • 6 years related experience.
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide a general analysis of a problem or situation.
  • Generally applies fundamental service techniques and adheres to proper customer procedures when interacting with customers.
  • Demonstrates the ability to stick to his or her decisions even when things become difficult or complex.
  • Demonstrates the ability to follow through with work assignments and support management's policies and procedures.
  • Able to provide the status of work assignments at any time and can quickly produce any documentation or information that is need.
  • Demonstrates the ability to base decisions on factual information and sound logic.
  • Understands and exhibits the ability to provide general conflict resolution assistance.
