Terrific 3+ months contract opportunity in Mountainhome, PA for a Quality Assurance Engineer.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Evaluates and applies Procedures and Methods related to the Business Unit Quality Management System.

Ensures compliance of Business Unit products and processes.

Maintains a working relationship with key customer procurement organizations to the benefit of the customer and the company.

Ensures the company and supplier products shipped to customers meet applicable business unit and contractual requirements.
-
Provides guidance and assistance to the company engineering and life cycle leadership regarding product and process quality requirements.
-
Provides guidance and assistance to the company material and supply leadership during the requirement flow down, evaluation, selection and monitoring of suppliers.

Administers material review activities on the company and/or supplier products.
-
Administers an effective evaluation and audit program for the company or its supply base to ensure conformance to the company process and product requirements.

Utilizes lean or six sigma tools to evaluate the company or supplier products and processes.
-
Analyzes root causes of deficiencies and ensures proper corrective actions are implemented in a timely manner.
-
Participates in cross-functional team efforts to improve the company or supplier products and processes.
-
Delivers training materials to the company or suppliers related to the Quality Management System.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Associate's degree preferred.

3+ years’ experience in inspection.

Must be familiar with Inspection (Aerospace or defense Industry preferred).
