Python Developer

Grow your career as a Python Developer with an innovative global bank in Tampa, FL. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will start working remotely until offices reopen, then will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Translate business requirements into technical development plan for execution.
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge across multiple application developments to provide technical oversight and development.
  • Translate architectural technical designs into executable development plan.
  • Code, maintain, and document in-house library (Python).
  • Monitor and execute releases and builds (Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Provide in-depth technical code review for code optimization.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Python development. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience using Python and CICD pipelines.
  • Able to build CICD pipelines using Orchestrator (Luigi and Airflow preferred).
  • Spent at least 85% of time in coding in previous engagement.
  • Experience in end-to-end project life cycle.
  • Strong object-oriented programming knowledge
 
Programming Languages:
  • Python: 3+ years
  • DevOps
    • 2+ years of experience on Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
    • 2+ years of experience on CI/CD pipeline setup with Jenkins, Git, SonarQube.
    • 1+ years of experience on ELK Stack.
  • Workflow Management: 2+ years of experience on Luigi/Apache Airflow
  • Data Ingestion:
    • 3+ years of experience on REST APIs.
    • 1+ years of experience on Apache Kafka.
 
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
  • Working experience on AI/ML domain.
  • Working experience on Hadoop Ecosystem.
  • NoSQL- Mongo or experience in non-relational databases.
  • Scripting: Shell/Bash.
  • Contribution to open-source libraries.
