Terrific 6+ month contract opportunity in Tampa, Florida for a Project Manager (Governance). Will be responsible for leading the governance, tracking and reporting of organization’s legacy application retirement. Will be responsible for liaising with Application Managers/Project Managers to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with other stakeholders and present the status report to the organization’s Senior Management. Owns the organization’s retirement Scorecard and will be responsible to work with all stakeholders to analyze, track and report risks around the organization’s retirement scorecard.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the organization’s retirement governance meeting including preparing materials and presenting to organization’s Senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Responsible for organization’s legacy application book of work management and communication.
  • Governs the sunsetting of applications, project executions, tracking milestones, SMT reporting etc. to ensure a seamless retirement of legacy applications.
  • Liaise with multiple stakeholders including Project Managers and Application Managers to track project plans and status; highlight delays, impediments and provide support in strategic action plans.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of organization’s retirement strategic plan and drive the execution at a program level.
  • Provide support to Project Managers with the retirement process and function as the principal process owner for retirement of organization applications.
  • Own organization’s retirement Scorecard and manage risks around the scorecard metrics to ensure the scorecard RAG status is green and any/all risks highlighted and reported timely and managed effectively.
  • Provide support to organization’s estate management team in the Application Portfolio Management in the annual Buy Hold Sell exercise.
 
Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in Project/Program management, strategy development and execution, ability to engage with several working groups and the lead and manage simultaneous projects.
  • Experience working in Technology organization within financial services is required.
  • Senior stakeholder management experience.
  • Articulate and professional in communication.
  • Advanced excel analytics skills.
  • Demonstrated ability transferring data into compelling presentations.
  • Advanced PowerPoint.
  • Experience of managing IT infrastructure including legacy application retirement.
  • Experience in scoping and preparing project plan including risks and issue tracking.
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree. Master's degree preferred.
