Terrific 9+ months contract opportunity in Plano, Texas for a Project Manager Applications. Will support transformation through simplification of business process and technology solutions. Will support the design, testing and development of the Frontline Mobility for current and future capabilities.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Perform functions within agile development teams (e.g., Scrum team) including user story definition (functional and non-functional requirements), process definition, testing support, documentation and training.
  • Define and document deliverables and outputs associated with the role.
  • Ensure that user stories meet the "definition of ready" (e.g., fully elaborated with acceptance criteria, etc.).
  • Act as the customer/end user advocate within the team in defining the technical solution, prioritizing business requirements & defects, and resolving conflicts prioritization with Product Owner (PO).
  • Jointly responsible for product backlog refinement (grooming), estimation, and prioritization with Product Owner (PO).
  • Partner with user centered design (UCD) Strategist to identify and define user roles and personas participating in Business Processes/Applications.
  • Conduct interviews and requirements workshops with cross-functional teams to gather understanding of business needs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, define solutions that meets the program's vision for features and objectives.
  • Collaborate with business users/UCD Team, developers and subject matter experts to identify trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
  • Conduct research/Leverage working knowledge of relationship between analytics and business processes to improve delivery, value and integration of analytics into business/enterprise processes.
  • Assist the team in troubleshooting issues; evaluate existing application products which could address user requirements and develops recommendations where appropriate improvements that will meet those needs.
  • Research/Analyze business needs to identify new processes or process improvements that will meet those needs.
  • Handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Capture information necessary to evaluate impact of requested changes.
  • Follow agile processes/principles and participate in all agile ceremonies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA).
  • 2+ years of experience in project management and/or IT support.
  • 3+ years of experience in writing requirements and/or story authoring.
  • Consumer Products Goods (CPG) experience is a plus.
  • Intermediate Project Management skills, balancing schedules, cost and timelines.
  • Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., Microsoft VSTS, Rally/Agile Central, JIRA).
  • Proficiency in computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, etc.
  • Certified SAFe® Agilist (SA), SAFe® 4 Practitioner (SP), SAFe® 4 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM).
  • Software Testing experience.
  • Software Development experience.
  • Basic understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with process, analytics, and systems modeling, user interface design, and prototyping, decision trees, data flow.
  • Demonstrated understanding of a broad range of business processes and related systems.
  • Basic understanding of Lean-Agile principles, metrics, and technology and/or basic understanding of Lean Thinking, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen Leader.
  • Demonstrate proactive learning, critical thinking, strong analytical, creative problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal communication, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, while being logical and analytical.
