Grow your career as a Project Manager with an innovative global bank in New York, NY. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week. Will operate across the division to manage the activities of the Chief Operation Office. Will work with other members of the team and representatives from region, product and functional groups to support and manage the tactical execution of high priority initiatives.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
  • Assess creation and signoff of program plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
  • Oversee program plans meet business needs as described in the program initiation documents. Ensure all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities and understand the program schedule and key milestones.
  • Work with Program Sponsor to ensure business case cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives.
  • Ensure all areas of the program are appropriately staffed.
  • Monitor program commitment from those assigning resources.
  • Escalate program risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
  • Create the program risk management plan.
  • Direct area supported through responsibility for delivery of end results and shared responsibility for budget management, accountable for resource planning.
  • Ensure essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Leverage analytic and conceptual thinking with the ability to execute with ambiguity.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s/University degree is required.
  • 8-10 years of experience project and program management within Financial Services industry.
  • 3-5 years of Wealth Management experience is preferred.
  • Prefer 2-3 years of experience managing cross enterprise projects and programs.
