Position: Project Coordinator
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Term: 72 weeks
Rate: $46/hour, DOE

Description/Comment:
This position will provide project support to project team delivering an upgrade to the accounting, budget, and procurement system for Maricopa County. This individual will support the project manager and business leads. We are looking for someone who is organized, pays attention to details, and is an excellent communicator.

Responsibilities: 

  • Active contributor on client projects with a primary focus on developing and contributing to quality deliverables
  • Support IT Project Manager (PM) in recommendations to IT and Business stakeholders
  • Work across functional groups to monitor and manage risk issues, action items, and decisions throughout the upgrade life cycle
  • Draft and submit weekly progress status reports
  • Develop metrics for presentations to variety of audiences
  • Coordinate calls and meetings with business partners
  • Draft and submit meeting minutes to PM for review
  • Follow-up with Product Owners regarding assigned action items from meetings
  • Assist with the process for tracking/managing issues
  • Work closely with the PM/Program Team to track the progress of scheduled activities
  • Coordinate and assist Program Team throughout the project
  • Communicate and presenting information clearly in verbally and written formats
  • Consistently striving for individual development opportunities through external and internal projects

Skills:

  • Supporting IT Project Manager (PM) with regular updates to the project plan (MS Project)
  • Learn how to drive client engagements by contributing and/or leading the development of strategic and tactical initiatives
  • High attention to detail through proofing, follow through and scheduling
  • Recording meeting minutes and communicate action items effectively
  • Adeptness to work collaboratively on a team as well as independently
  • Learning client-specific tools in order to meet compliance standards
  • Build consensus and achieve goals through influence
  • Able to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
  • A team player that is able to put the project or team success before their own, while also developing other members of team

Experience Required:

  • Establishing immediate credibility with clients and internal leadership
  • 7+ years of management consulting, advisory, corporate, or professional services consulting experience
Experience Preferred:
  • 3+ years Business Analysis experience preferred 
  • 3 – 5 years requirements creation & gathering experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Financial applications and/or business solutions (i.e. SAP, Oracle, CGI Advantage)
  • Finance or Operations related processes or procedures
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Technology or related discipline

Education:

  • BA in related field may be substituted for work experience if applicable
