Position: Procedure Writing Associate
Location: CHARLOTTE, North Carolina, 28262-8522
Term: 6 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  •  Work is assigned from Project
  • Performing keyword searches to determine procedures that are impacted by topic
  • Compiling those procedures into an impact assessment
  • Assess each procedure to determine overlaps and duplications
  • Work with LOB SME to see if anything was missed – identify gaps
  • Develop strategy to execute
  • Execute against strategy
  • Participate in establishing guidelines and design of work.
  • Review regulatory changes or partner with regulatory change agents to proactively identify required updates.
  • Maintain document library or repository and update tables in appropriate systems.
  • Review changes to business operations for potential impact to other operations and procedures.
  • Draft, edit and format basic to moderately complex technical manuals, projects or other technical documentation.
  • Create graphical technical presentations for others.
  • Understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Assist others to resolve process gaps, providing input based on observations.
  • Research and translate technical information to users.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Interact with internal customers.
  • Partner with subject matter professionals to understand business needs as it relates to procedures.

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • Ability to assess procedures to determine overlaps, duplications, consolidation opportunities
  • Ability to interact with Subject Matter experts to gain knowledge of the context of the process that needs to be written into a procedure
  • 1 year of experience writing procedures in a professional business environment
  • Jira experience
  • 6+ months of Procedure Writing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications: 
  • Procedure writing experience
  • Strategy – how to categorize procedures and create plans
  • Communication/ organization – Liaison/ SME Support
  • Ability to interact with Subject Matter experts to gain knowledge of the context of the process that needs to be written into a procedure
