Position: Principal Architect I

Location: Remote

Term: 9 Months Contract to Hire

The successful candidate will work closely with the VP of Corporate IT technology, Director/Product Manager Communications and key business leadership team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads end-to-end global employee Intranet re-design from strategy to execution, collaborating with global IT and business teams to drive business adoption of internal digital employee experience platform and federation of multiple local intranets
  • Provide expert-level guidance and collaboration for establishing a comprehensive content strategy in support of the digital employee experience, understanding intranet, social, search, digital assistants, mobile app channels, etc. to be synthesized from multiple platforms for a immersive and global digital employee experience
  • Serve as primary IT liaison with corporate, business, and technology teams on complex integration issues, and supports the development of technical, operational, and functional requirements as the required connected technologies
  • Document current state and collaboratively define future state digital employee experience architectures, and associated roadmaps as defined by business needs
  • Collaborate with Information Security, Compliance, and Legal on best practices and requirements for security, data integrity, and interoperability
  • Partner with leadership and internal teams to establish change management activities, plan resource alignment, identify priority adjustments, and identify needed skill sets
  • Analyzes functional and data requirements to help determine technical requirements and architectural design options for specific HR domains
  • Provide guidance and direction to partner and internal technical staff with respect to the supported technologies

Experience:

  • 10+ years of combined experience as an Integration Architect, Engineer, Solutions Architect, Lead Developer or Technical Consultant Engineer
  • 3+ years of experience working with software systems including product development, software engineering, and system integration with respect to intranets/extranets/digital workplace technologies such as Akumina, Unily, Igloo Software, Sitecore, ServiceNow and/or Microsoft.
  • Experience communicating with technical and business level leaders and audiences
  • Experience with web, mobile, or enterprise technology stack
  • Experience demonstrating knowledge of industry integration technology areas and trends
  • Leadership experience in architecting, developing and deploying complex and enterprise class solutions
  • Experience driving business solutions and strategies to across multiple organizations and business units
  • Proficient in advising management and technology teams, internal and external, on system architecture, development practices, technical issues, or risks
  • Knowledge about API design standards, patterns and best-practices. Hands-on experience in API management platforms and API related activities: requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, resource-based API modelling, micro-services architecture
  • Understanding of platforms integration mobile, web, portal, and related technologies
  • Experience with understanding of SDLC and frameworks such as iterative, agile/SAFe methodologies
  • Experience in promoting quality control practices through continuous integration and continuous deployment efforts and assist with activities necessary to remain compliant and ensure security requirements are met
  • Experience with systems integration and test, system verification and validation, and systems engineering
