This international network integration leader has an immediate 6-12+ month contract opportunity in Plano, TX for a Pre Sales Security Engineer (SOC Lead).  Will be working remotely initially but must be available to work onsite in Plano, TX in the future.  


  • 3+ years experience in Account Management and B2B Business Development in the Cyber Security space.

  • Proven experience in accessing, engaging with, and selling to Executive Management at Enterprises and Medium size clients.

  • 3+ years information security / information assurance experience required.

  • Must have a strong understanding of concepts and technology across all IT areas to be able to spot gaps and develop appropriate controls.

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills required.

  • Working knowledge of security technologies such as Active Directory Group Policy, anti-malware tools, computer forensics tools, firewalls, identity access management, IDS / IPS, multi-factor authentication, network devices, SIEM products, threat intelligence, vulnerability scanners, monitoring tools, and web filters on premise and in cloud environments required.

  • Strong verbal, written, communication and presentation skills required.

  • Ability to work with little supervision and consistently deliver results required.


  • Familiarity with network technologies and protocols (switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, remote connection technologies, and multiple domain environments).

  • MBA or other postgraduate degree, preferred. 

  • Certifications a plus (CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CASP+, CISA, etc.).

Security Operations Center (SOC) Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and mentoring of all Supervisors and Security Personnel.

  • Evaluation of contract performance and compliance (Service Level Agreements).

  • Development and updating of site post orders.

  • Training of current and new employees to contract standards. Inspection of security personnel, measuring competency, appearance and morale.

  • Identify performance shortcomings of Site Supervisors and Security Personnel then develop and implement process or program solutions to address shortcomings.

  • Develop and implement goals / objectives for direct reports. Conduct employee evaluations, counseling and discipline.

  • Maintain open, timely and accurate communication between client, G4S Strategic Account Manager, and local G4S Office.

  • Daily review of staffing levels ensuring compliance with manpower requirements of the assigned sites and maintain staffing report for all locations.

  • Ensure the proper and timely handling of all incidents regarding all aspects of security for the facility.
