Our client is seeking a Physical Security Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity! This individual will also work in helping to design and coordinate new site builds with EPC and Security Integrators.


  • Monitors systems operations, analyzes problems or malfunctions, performs software programming and development, takes corrective action to maintain optimal systems operations
  • Responsible for the coordination and programming of new site build outs, moves, adds & changes, audits and continuous updates to the access control, Video Surveillance, and Access Control
  • Assist in the implementation of all systems and provide support to the Director of Facility Operations
  • Contribute to the development of roadmaps that define the future state security architecture and recommend the selection of hardware and software products and when work will be done to evolve to this future state
  • Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and driving complex problems to resolution as they pertain to security infrastructure
  • Continually update technical security standards and strategies focusing on network security related technology and controls
  • Development and support of technical security architecture focusing on network security design and advanced system administration
  • Analyzes existing systems processes and develops and implements recommended improvement
  • Support the IT functionality through close coordination with both internal and external IT/Network providers
  • Develop and deliver training for system operators
  • Assist and advise field technical personnel on specific system response and operational theory
  • Manage projects involving security system configuration, implementation, and commissioning
  • Assist with service call tracking and billing
  • Other tasks as required
  • Minimal travel


  • Competent at providing detailed documentation and written reports
  • Knowledge of project management best practices, standards and guidelines
  • Knowledge of basic server administration, desktop administration and system remote management
  • Strong working knowledge of security alarm systems, alarm automation software administration, analog and digital video systems, video systems administration, access control systems administration, security systems integration and system redundancy design
  • Strong knowledge of networked physical security systems and protocols (e.g. IP communication, IP cameras, digital recorders, access control controllers, alarm devices, alarm panels, etc.)
  • Strong teamwork abilities – able to communicate and work effectively in a large team environment
  • Strong knowledge of network fundamentals
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Strong knowledge of servers/computer hardware and software
  • Attention to detail in documenting information and ability to show ownership for follow through in system/application resolutions
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • The ability to produce documentation on the systems for which responsibility is important therefore excellent written English skills are essential
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and participation on multiple projects
  • Ensure all client security systems are fully functional, including but not limited to: access control system, video management system, radio dispatching system, cameras, card readers, etc
  • Experience in Project Management, Enterprise Implementation, Systems Administration, Monitoring Applications, working with vendors, and Process Improvement methodologies
  • Communication: Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message
  • Exercising Judgment and Decision Making: Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; recommend or take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences
  • Technical and Professional Knowledge: Demonstrate a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; remains current with developments and trends in areas of expertise
