Position: OBIEE Developer
Location: Chicago, IL; Phoenix, AZ
Term: 18 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • 80% development 20% meetings
  • Work with PL SQL Procedures, Functions, Packages, Views, Materialized views whenever necessary.
  • Convert complex SQL query solutions in to OBIEE model solutions.
  • Work with OBIEE Administration Tool
  • Common deliverables include: reports, dashboards, programs, queries and other BI-related deliverables.
  • Acts in a lead technical role providing technical guidance and consultation with application teams, clients, and Engineering Managers for their technology domain environments including but not limited to cloud, middleware, operating systems, applications, Software-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service products. Design, code, test, debug and document programs using Agile development practices.
  • Provides the strategy and design for projects associated with their technology domain including, upgrades and deployments.
  • Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate their technology domain with other technology domains, enabling the creation of new or expanded heterogeneous environments.
  • Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures.
  • Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets.
  • As an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems.
  • Leads projects and manages the work of less experienced staff.
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain.

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • 3+ years of OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) experience
  • 3+ years of business intelligence experience
  • 3+ years of Report Development Lifecycle (RDLC) experience
  • 3+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
  • Agile experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle BI Publisher
    • Demonstrable proficiency with Oracle’s BI Publisher developer
  • Strong communication required as resource will be using scrum as how to develop and there is a lot of collaboration and communication with onshore and offshore
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and understanding of MS Active Directory
  • Knowledge and understanding Oracle ADF
  • Oracle Analytic Server experience
  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
