Terrific 12+ months contract opportunity in Purchase, New York for a Nutrition Data & Analytics – Data Control Owner. Will partner with the Business & Program Manager and Regional Process Owners to execute the research and development nutrition data input, in line with business process standards, as part of the standardized global nutrition reporting process within Global research and development at the regional level.
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Ensures data inputted is complete, accurate and prepared based on data governance guidelines for associated markets: US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia (additional markets to be added)
  • Partner with Process Owner to validate data input on a Quarterly basis to reach successful certification status.
  • Partner with IT to support automated data loads on a frequent basis.
  • Provide proactive oversight to ensure that system data is complete and accurate based on data standards and business process guidelines.
  • Utilizes system reports to identify data issues and leads correction activities on a quarterly basis.
  • Maintains ongoing connections with Finance MDM Sustain team to correct misclassified finance attributes.
  • Accountable for preparing and maintaining supporting documentation in line with data governance guidelines.
  • Develop regional best practice guidance to support future data input activities.
  • Participates in Nutrition Data Collection Forums with other Regional Control Owners quarterly.
  • Promotes and demonstrates the use of R&D systems and nutrition reporting tools within associated markets.
  • Maintains relationships with Product Developers to ensure data related to new product innovations and product reformulations are captured within each Market data set in a timely manner.
  • Provides input into the development of effective technical solutions proactively identifying, logging, communicating and addressing issues.
  • Partner with Business & Program Manager to identify and translate business requirements into functional specifications to further improve the process quality.
  • Participate into special cross-functional projects with global research and development, IT, Finance, etc. to further improve and automate the R&D nutrition reporting capability.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred Science discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • CPG industry knowledge experience preferred.
  • Database Management/Analytics/Visualization experience preferred.
  • High attention to detail and strong communication, verbal and analytical/mathematical skills.
  • Understands importance of data accuracy and transparency and how data is being used to effectively execute data reporting process.
  • Understanding of nutrition attributes e.g., via product development or nutrition science experience.
  • Able to work with key individuals in other locations and time zones as assigned.
  • Willing to develop detailed training documentation and adhere to corporate standards/change management policies.
