Our Healthcare Insurance client is seeking a  Mobile JavaScript Applications Developer to join their team for a contract-to-hire role!

Position: Hybrid Mobile Applications Developer
Location: Remote - The majority of the roles at this client will continue working from home until at least the end of 2021. Once it is safe to begin working onsite, staff can choose where they work – from home, in the office, or a hybrid of the two. To be eligible to convert to a FTE of the client, you must reside in NC or one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia or South Carolina
Term: 3-6 months contract to hire

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Now is a phenomenal time to join our mobile development team and help stand up a hybrid mobile development practice. You will be responsible for leading, designing and developing full stack mobile applications using modern technologies in an Agile growing environment. With a proven focus on business partnerships, this team will help with identifying new ways to connect to our consumers and providers via mobile channels. We are looking for you to take your knowledge to help drive new creative mobile strategies and applications. You will need to be forward-thinking, comfortable partnering with business partners and comfortable with new technologies.

What you'll be doing:

  • Participate in the day to day work of building and improving our mobile applications offering.
  • Coordinate work of external teams to design, code, and maintain high quality and more complex user-centric applications that meet business objectives as well as usability and corporate standards.
  • Participate in software releases and continuous maintenance.
  • Research technology trends and help set strategic direction for the team, inspiring for continuous learning and realizing possible applications of new technologies.
  • Help with shaping the team's culture.
  • Promote and improve development practices.


Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • Bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as a developer, designing and coding enterprise web and mobile applications.
  • If no degree, must have 7 years of experience as stated above.
  • Must have technical expertise in the following areas: Mobile Application design and implementation; Responsive Design and Mobile Optimized web development.
  • Experience with Web and Cross Platform Mobile technologies including JavaScript, VueJS, NodeJS, GraphQL.
  • At least one mobile app releases on a major mobile platform is required.
  • Demonstrable experience working in self-managed Agile Teams.
