Position: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, 02452
Term: 12 months
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Contributes to mechanical and electromechanical CAD design of the new and existing products
    Support R&D engineering needs, design updates, and refinement.
  • Construct DMR/BOMs, prepare ECO’s and work with Document Control to implement.
  • Provide detailed design drawings and annotated MBD models per prototype and production level engineering requirements.
Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or above.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a CAD design and drafting position, preferably in the Medical Device industry.(or other regulated industry)
    Advanced SolidWorks proficiency with demonstrated capability to produce complex parts and assemblies.
  • SolidWorks PDM experience.
  • Creating and publishing MBD (Model-Based Design) models.
  • Experience with metal fabrication processes such as milling and turning, etc.
  • Experience designing and dimensioning using the metric system and GD&T.
  • Document Control experience.
Even better if you have:
  • Electromechanical design experience, working with SolidWorks Electrical 2D and 3D.
