Position: Logistics Admin
Location: Louisville, KY 40219
Term: 6 Months Contract-to-hire (07/13/2020 to 01/29/2021)
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00 – 5:00 (possible OT by volunteer only)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Perform the role of a dedicated Returns Material Authorization (RMA) Specialist for a major company Retail client.
  • Responsible for monitoring reports of the receipt of returned materials, work with warehouse personnel to ensures the proper staging of spare parts material within designated warehouse areas.
  • Daily review and reconciliation of return material authorization (RMA) forms, request RMAs from supplies and reconcile with physical inventory returns.
  • Responsible for performing both operational and tactical work to meet plant logistics deliverables.
  • Responsible for ensuring material is shipped, received, stored or delivered quickly and efficiently. Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor.
  • Perform tasks to improve inbound and outbound material flow. Participating in continuous improvement projects.
  • Investigate root causes and performing corrective action to resolve transportation issues.
  • Maintain service for industrial vehicle repair, performing all repairs and preventive maintenance for all vehicles plant-wide.
  • Provide tactical management for inventory levels and daily operations.
  • Schedule supplier deliveries by common carrier and administering returnable container programs.
  • Perform tasks supporting carrier collaboration, smooth operation of milk runs, coordination of third party logistics services, plant site material logistics, and managing supermarkets and kitting processes.
  • Optimize material flow throughout the plant site. Servicing production area needs in off shift hours.
Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • College or university degree, preferably in Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management or Industrial Engineering.
  • APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification preferred.
  • Entry level to 3 years of related experience.
  • Some supply chain or related field job experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills.
