Position:  Linux Tier 3 Support 
Location: Remote
Term: 12 Months Contract


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Act as Product Owner and technical subject matter expert for Company's Media Space learning video platform
  • Provide Tier 3 support for ROLE Learning Management systems & lab environments
  • Work with Company’s Corporate University and global enablement groups to support day-to-day system activities, coordinate the use of new features, and resolve major system issues
  • Monitor ServiceNow support queue to ensure support tickets are quickly routed and resolved
  • Establish a roadmap and plan for ongoing incremental improvements to the platform
  • Update and maintain processes to improve content creation, curation, and lifecycle management
  • Supports the process of translating business needs into formal technical requirement deliverables
  • Create and maintain administrator and customer-facing support knowledge base articles
  • Obtain input from, and collaborate with stakeholders from different business teams with conflicting requirements; use this information combined with data to manage and groom backlogs of our offerings.


Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
 

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline
  • Background in Linux support & service management
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with video hosting and streaming platforms; Kaltura preferred
  • Experience using Agile methodology, preferably in a Product Owner or SCRUM Master role
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs, media transcoding, HTML, and SaaS-based integrations
  • Ability to understand the strategy and plan, organize, and prioritize work independently
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and define solutions requirements from various business units with a consultative approach
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical requirements to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience managing SaaS-based vendor relationships, and coordinating technical solutions with global teams
  • Solid interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact, persuade, and /negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers
