This growing insurance industry leader has an immediate full-time opening in Carrollton, TX for a Linux Systems Administrator.  Will be part of the infrastructure team and be responsible for designing, installing and configuring Linux servers, storage arrays, networking as well as performing system integration, testing and operational support.  This position will build Linux systems consisting of physical and virtual servers, design and manage large virtual environments using Hyper-V and VMware.  This position also requires experience setting up and maintaining SQL servers like MariaDB or MySQL.  In addition, this position will require experience in supporting a LAMP based platform.  Finally, this position will also be required to have Windows Server management and support experience. 

•    Maintain onsite Linux (Ubuntu) servers and hosted web applications, ensuring uptime and site responsiveness
•    Provide ongoing management & support for platform infrastructure
•    Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to roll out and automate configuration & release of builds to Production
•    Develop tools and scripts to assist with routine maintenance tasks
•    Manage Linux and related open source systems (apache, bind, postfix, memcached, MariaDB, etc.)

Required Skills
•    Proactive self-starter with the ability drive projects through to completion
•    3+ years’ experience working with various Linux distributions (Ubuntu/CentOS preferred)
•    3+ years’ experience with server virtualization technologies (e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V, Xen)
•    Familiarity and operational knowledge of open source systems in a mixed Windows/Linux environment
•    3+ years’ experience supporting LAMP based platforms
•    2+ years’ experience supporting MySQL or MariaDB installations
•    2+ years’ experience supporting Windows Servers versions 2k12R2 thru 2019.
•    2+ years’ experience working in an Active Directory environment
•    2+ years’ experience working with Azure Cloud.
•    Significant experience designing, building, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux servers.
•    Significant experience building, configuring and maintaining enterprise physical & virtualized server environments.
