Terrific 12+ months contract opportunity in Indianapolis, IN for a Lead Integration Engineer. Will join a team of Systems Engineering team in supporting flight and ground testing for a podded communication link.
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership to the integration team, and representing the team at platform and weapon integration events.
  • Provide daily reports for program leadership and senior management briefings and participate for fault isolation of test anomalies.
  • Lead Test Readiness Reviews and Demonstration Readiness Reviews.
  • Maintain the Hardware Utilization Matrix and define the test schedule baseline.
  • Help in developing test and integration as well as own test plans, procedures and reports.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) degree program or 16 years’ prior relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 8+ years related experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering.
  • Experience supporting ground and flight testing at Government and contractor facilities.
  • Ability to travel primarily to contractor facilities and flight test ranges for periods of time up to a month during test events.
  • Ability to understand and shape test objectives and ensure results reflect contributions to test events.
  • Ability to troubleshoot avionics equipment failures real time.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with multiple levels of management and individual contributors on teams.
  • Ability to work within an IPT that includes engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance and other disciplines.
  • Demonstrated sound ethical values built upon trust, respect, accountability, collaboration and innovation.
  • Able to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance.
  • Demonstrated successful military aircraft and weapon system integration experience.
  • Experience with bomb racks and launchers.
  • Experience with Stores Management System (SMS).
  • Experience using the MIL-STD-1760 aircraft interface.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-1553 serial data bus communication.
  • Experience with Ethernet and other serial data bus communication.
  • Demonstrated understanding of RF communication principles.
  • Experience writing integration event test reports (ground and flight) and daily quick-look reports.
  • Experience on DoD Internal Research and Development (IRAD, Customer Research and Development (CRAD), Technical Demonstration (TD), System Development and Demonstration (SDD) or Engineering, Manufacturing, & Development (EMD) Programs.
  • Experience with weapon systems or special mission military platforms, architectures, capabilities, customers, and/or missions.
  • Experience with DoD development process.
  • Current/active DoD Secret level or higher clearance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools.
