Position: Lead Data Management Analyst
Location: ADDISON, TX; Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; Des Moines, IA
Term: 12 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of workflows and solutions using Atlassian tools. In that role, the person would work with various stakeholders to understand the goals and needs for a solution that implements a process, workflow, etc., and design, develop and implement solutions that align to the business needs.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of the solutions, including tracking and managing status, issues, risks, etc.
  • Independently Design, develop and test solutions using Atlassian products (JIRA, Service Desk, Confluence)
  • Determine current process, identify gaps, and translate the requirements into custom solutions to meet the organizational demands
  • Recommend and design standard and custom JIRA workflows
  • Provide continuous optimization for a very good customer experience
  • Proactively identify areas of improvement and innovative solutions to problems
  • Create custom post functions and triggers using Groovy Script in Atlassian
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and fix issues related to development
  • Provide assistance for training to technical and non-technical teams to use Atlassian tools
  • Acts as the highest-level internal consultant within technology and business groups by re-engineering processes for greater efficiencies with significant impact to the business.
  • Develop roadmaps for solutions; track and manage to those roadmaps
  • Organize and lead companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes.
  • Oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues.
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality.
  • Adhere to data governance standards and procedures.
  • Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data.
  • Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members.
  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy.
  • Serve as relationship manager for a line of business.
  • Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility.
  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies.
  • Partner with groups and various levels of seniority companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution.

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • 10+ years of hands on experience in Atlassian products (JIRA workflows, reporting, dashboards, Service Desk, Confluence).
  • Hands on experience in developing custom templates in JIRA to manage projects, Epic’s, issues/tasks
  • Experience working on project initiatives within an overall program and communications strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills , including presentations to business and technical audiences
  • Experience defining and executing project plans
  • Experience defining and documenting process flows, design / solution approach documentation
  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications: 
  • Experience with data management best practices and disciplines including data architecture, analytics and business intelligence, machine learning, Artificial Intelligence development
  • Experience delivering successful end user experiences through capabilities
  • Experience defining, documenting, and implementing business requirements, policies, procedures and processes
  • Experience in launching and running complex programs using Agile Scrum and Waterfall delivery teams
  • Experience with Banking Finance, Risk, Regulatory Reporting data platforms and technologies
  • Broad financial expertise with knowledge of corporate affairs, financial and product fundamentals, and business policies, products, processes, systems, and roles
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; proven ability to engage and influence senior technology and business executives
  • Strong expertise in cultivating authentic Executive relationships and delivering formal change management across diverse business areas
  • Experience presenting to Operating Committee Members, Boards and on Industry Forums
  •  Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities and achieve results
  • Experience with data and analytical tools such as AtScale, Dremio, Apache Hive, Apache Drill, Hue, Tableau, Aquadata Studio, as well as use of advanced analytical tools such as JupyterNotebook and Python
  • Familiarity with writing SQL queries
  • Experience building reports and dashboards using a Reporting Tool (such as Tableau)
