IT Systems & Network Engineer
Term:
6 month contract to hire - hybrid schedule
Pay rate: $50.00 Hourly - Salary: $90K DOE

This position will participate in the design, installation, configuration, test, documentation, maintenance, and administration of computer networks and related computing environments including computer and network hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations. This includes internal company systems and infrastructure as well as systems designed for our customer base.

Role:

  • Administration of systems, servers, and network resources to ensure availability of services to authorized users
  • Plan and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
  • Perform installation and configuration of network and server systems hardware and software.
  • Perform testing and documentation to report system status and support operations
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
  • Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with ManageEngine Ticketing/RMM System
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Engineering, or IT related discipline, or directly related technical experience is required
  • Microsoft Windows Server - 2003-2016, SBS/Essentials - Microsoft Exchange - 2007-2016, Exchange Online - Microsoft Office 365 Suite - Azure
  • Knowledge of VMWare and virtual environments a plus
  • Intermediate networking knowledge: VLANs, Ether channel, Static/Dynamic routing, ACLs
  • Active Directory, RADIUS, TACACS+
  • Advanced Networking techniques: port aggregation, IPsec, VPN, IPS, route-maps and capture filters, LAN/VLAN, STP/RSTP/PVST+, VPN, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, static routing, FHRPs (HSRP, VRRP)
  • Intermediate knowledge of compliancy i.e., CMMC, ITAR, HIPAA
