Large Supply Chain / 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) company is seeking an IT Solution Architect / Technical Business Analyst who has experience with the software product, Deposco. You can live and work anywhere in the U.S. and work 100% remotely, other than the travel requirement that's around 25%. In this role, you will lead and perform the technical configurations to maintain and enhance the DEPOSCO Warehouse Management System for large customers throughout the U.S. As the IT Solution Architect or Technical BA role, you will be the technical subject matter expert for the WMS, regarding the full solution development for 3PL project lifecycle. In this role, you will transform the business requirement documents by designing and configuring technical aspects of the system. This position will support a new and existing client base. Additionally, you will have the following duties:

  • Communicate solution capabilities/possibilities and ability to assess business needs across integration complexity and architecture constraints.
  • Provides primary user support and verifies that the system provides the required business functions and maintains data integrity
  • Leads business process analysis or design/construction phase of the project that leads to writing functional specifications
  • Formulates and defines the application scope and objectives and devise/modify procedures to solve complex business problems.
  • Develops functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens that meet the customers' business objectives and are of sound design
  • Conducts system configuration for the WMS system.
  • Trains employees on system and related device usage.
  • Develop test cases and plans to complete the unit testing.
  • Provide on-call support for production applications.
  • Monitor and configure application performance and improve response times,
  • Serves as a functional liaison and attends and contributes to key meetings between Product Manager, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors.
  • Strong domain knowledge in Deposco WMS solution to construct an overall architecture for current and future customer business needs.
  • Advises customers regarding industry best practices and process methodology.
  • Ability to estimate effort of task level implementation activities that are within the scope of the project and recommend appropriate role to execute those tasks.
  • Ability to ask pertinent questions to assess business needs that fall outside the standard solution, assess integration complexity, architecture constraints.
  • Demonstrates and facilitates integration discussions of product functionality and product architecture.
  • Leads business process analysis or design, construction, validation, and deployment phases of a project.
  • Ensures the development and execution of test scripts to ensure Deposco software consistently meets the customer's business objectives.
  • Provides level 3 non-technical support during the "go-live" period
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in developing, supporting or implementing application software
  • Advanced SQL for business logic and reporting queries using relational databases
  • Experience with Java web applications, with web development experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular JS, XML, JSON
  • Strong knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, RESTful)
  • Experience with the Deposco warehouse management system.
  • Communicate effectively with management, vendors, users, customers, and peers
  • Logically present issues and potential enhancements effectively
  • ANSI X12 EDI mapping
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel. Strong knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications
  • Warehousing or Logistics Industry experience.
  • Experience with formal project management practice.
  • Knowledge of formal systems development methodologies and SDLC best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Completes work independently; receives general guidance on tasks.
