Large global company is seeking to hire an IT Procurement Analyst / Buyer for a 6 month contract-to-hire opportunity.  As the IT Procurement Buyer, you will be working closely with business departments to research the marketplace, prepare complex, formal competitive bids and RFPs, analyze results and recommend awards in addition to handling informal bids and small dollar purchases, sometimes in an expedited manner.

**Local candidates only in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. Due to the pandemic, you will work 100% remotely at first, but must be willing and able to return to the office at some point in the future, after company decides on a return to work plan**


RESPONSIBILITIES

As the IT Procurement Analyst / Buyer, you will be expected to do the following:

  • Will assist with or occasionally be independently responsible for developing and implementing appropriate sourcing strategies to achieve the best cost, service and quality. 
  • Will manage supplier relationships and will assist in maintaining supplier performance, review, and continuous improvements.
  • Will negotiate costs and other terms and conditions.
  • Will work internally and with suppliers to identify and drive cost reduction initiatives to meet cost/saving targets.
  • As part of a team and as the IT Procurement Analyst / Buyer, you will work cross-functionally to ensure sourcing results meet business needs and resolve issues timely when they arise.
  • Work with business partners within Support Center to develop requirements for IT-related products and services
  • Assist with development of appropriate sourcing strategies for assigned categories and drive implementation
  • Lead sourcing activities for assigned sourcing categories including RFQs, contract negotiations and business awards
  • Identify qualified providers for required products and/or services with consideration to both domestic and offshore vendors
  • Negotiate with vendors and select providers to deliver cost-effective procurement solutions for cross-functional stakeholders throughout the organization
  • Demonstrate contract drafting & thorough negotiation of contract terms and conditions
  • Demonstrate a consistent commitment to field-focused service by prioritizing field-based requests, responding quickly and favorably to field-based feedback, by minimizing tasks, and proactively seeking ways to help store teams focus on customer service as productively as possible
  • Drive outstanding business results through traditional management functions including sourcing and selecting talent, coaching and development, workforce and project scheduling, performance assessment, and general talent planning
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Must have good knowledge about the market for the assigned product/service categories and be able to identify the right suppliers and independently manage the end to end sourcing processes from RFx to contract closure
  • Assist with development of appropriate sourcing strategies for assigned categories and drive implementation
  • Identify qualified providers for required products and/or services with consideration to both domestic and offshore vendors
  • Negotiate with vendors and select providers to deliver cost-effective procurement solutions for cross-functional stakeholders throughout the organization

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in information management or another information technology related degree
  • Experience in indirect procurement and strategic sourcing 
  • Analytics: ability to gather and draw actionable insights from complex data
  • Project management
