Position:  Custody Operations Lead Analyst
Location: Charlotte, NC 28262 or Remote
Term: 8 Months Contract

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Drive Custody operations related projects and processes
  • Independently execute complex transactions and identify and resolve highly complex issues and problems
  • Serve as subject matter expert and team resource across multiple Custody operational functions
  • Demonstrate proficiency and understanding of Custody operations to effectively drive change and oversee processes
  • Prepare reports and maintain controls in alignment with internal policies and clients' needs
  • Act as escalation point and technical expert for Custody operations activities
  • Build relationships and communicate with internal and external personnel including senior operations staff, administration, legal, audit, compliance, tax, IT, outside vendors, regulatory agencies and/or industry contracts to educate, provide direction, influence results and decisions and/or to resolve problems
  • Research, analyze, and formulate recommendations on best practices to ensure global operational processes, functions and procedures are efficient and effective
  • Act as business lead, drive, or actively participate with IT on complex projects to execute on strategy, manage and direct IT priorities, and drive business requirements for projects aligned to business strategy
  • Research, test and/or document system changes
  • Serve as a mentor, technical trainer, escalation point and resource to junior or less tenured team members
  • Provide informal leadership/mentorship and demonstrate expertise in the areas of technical functions, research of issues, troubleshoot, problem solving, formulating recommendations, independent decision making and effective communication

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • 7 years related experience required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Must be detailed oriented
  • Must have proven and strong abilities in the areas of problem solving, planning, time management, decision making, prioritizing multiple competing demands, consulting, negotiation, mentoring and project management
  • Must have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, exercise flexibility when dealing with people and effectively communicate with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • Self-starter with a proven ability to think outside the box and act as a catalyst for change
  • Basic PC and/or system skills required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required
  • Success in this position requires a strong client service orientation, the ability to work under pressure in a deadline driven, team-based environment, the ability to make effective, high impact decisions, the ability to oversee projects, the ability to produce accurate and timely information independently and the ability to drive results

Preferred Skills:

  • SQL background preferred
  • Accounts Receivable experience preferred
  • Degree in accounting, finance, economics or business preferred
  • Experience in Custody operations or related field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Custody products and services preferred
