iOS Developer

Houston based company is seeking an experienced iOS Developer to join their team for a contract opportunity. In this role, you will develop and maintain customer facing applications to grow profitability and market share and provide the best in class app experience.

Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Development and delivery of iOS mobile apps
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, usability, and general reliability
  • Ensure all apps meet technical standards set by our industry
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 6+ years of iOS development experience
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and desire to work in an agile shop
  • XCode Development experience
  • Proficient in Objective-C and Swift
  • Core Data knowledge
  • A good working knowledge of UIKit
  • Worked on an app in the App Store
  • The ability to effectively use instruments for iOS - Leaks, Object Allocations, etc.
  • Knowledge of good memory management techniques (what goes in dealloc, viewDidUnload)
  • Source Control Management (BitBucket, Mercurial)
  • Experience on 3rd Party SDKs integration
  • Exposure to some commercial aspects e.g. estimations
  • Understanding of Hybrid Apps & communication between webpages and native code
