Position: 
Internal Communications Professional (Part-time) 
Location:  Remote
Term: 11 months (04/01/2021 to 03/04/2022)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Creation of compelling digital content that drives colleague engagement, including finance town hall meetings, the finance team SharePoint site, memos and emails, newsletters and other platforms, as identified by the finance team
  • Proofread and copyedit content written by others to ensure it meets established guidelines and is consistent with internal communications strategy and objectives
  • Identify and provide recommendations for new content opportunities, as well as ways to repurpose existing content across internal channels
  • Attend business critical meetings and planning sessions, as requested, take notes and draft communications based on assignments from those meetings
  • Support social thought leadership activities for the finance leadership team including drafting social posts and communications for publication on external social channels

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant Communications experience that includes professional writing and editing, content marketing, and/or digital marketing
  • Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations or related field required.
Even better if you have:
  • Superb writing, editing, and proofreading skills for websites and digital properties using AP Style
  • Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including sharing ideas and information across diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate with other communication professionals toward a common goal
  • Deep understanding of digital writing and communications and the role of content in internal communications
  • Strong oral communications skills with the ability to listen, articulate your ideas and advocate best practice solutions for content
  • Experience handling breaking news situations
  • Ability to meet deadlines, lead multiple tasks, and track details in a dynamic environment effectively and efficiently
