Technical Skill Required

  • Network and Infrastructure:
  • Firewalls (Cisco, PFSense, etc.) ACL’s and Security best practices. 
  • Managed and Unmanaged Switches (HP, Cisco, Linksys, Netgear, etc.)
  • Routers and routing concepts. VLAN’s
  • VPN’s and Remote Connectivity
  • Data Centers
  • TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, FTP, SSH and SMTP
  • Wireless
  • Telecom – Bandwidth, T1 lines, PRI, VOIP, Fiber, MPLS, P2P
  • Web Servers (IIS and Apache)
  • Virtualization (Citrix Xenserver, VMWare, etc.) 
  • Microsoft Server and desktop Operating Systems (Win 7, Win 10, Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 etc.).
  • Experience supporting Apple Mac OS.
  • Experience with Open Source, Linux OS and applications.
  • Experience supporting MS Active Directory, MS Azure Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS Office Suites, Exchange 365, Office 365 and various applications.
  • Experience with Mitel/Cisco VOIP Phone systems and related soft phone applications.
  • Expertise with Audio and Video equipment such as projectors, microphones, conference room cameras and wireless screen conference equipment.
  • Expertise in Online Meeting software such as Go to Meeting and Adobe Connect.
  • Experience creating and maintain operating system images for laptops and desktop PC’s.
  • Experience supporting mobile devices and tablets with Mobile Device Management software.
  • Good knowledge about internet protocols, operation and maintenance of domain servers.
  • Experience managing the timely deployment of patches through a patch management system.
  • Experience in configuration and administration of the following equipment, software, and programs: Windows Servers 2003/2008/2012/2018, Microsoft Exchange 2010, Exchange 365, Microsoft Dynamics, Email security, Active Directory, Group Policy configuration and implementation.
  • Experience in Linux and Unix operating systems, Virtualization (VMware, Citrix Xenserver, etc.), Cisco Technology, VPN Technologies (SSL, etc.), and Data Domain and Network Backup Solutions.
  • Web Services and support for different browser versions (I.E., Firefox, Chrome, etc.).
  • Strong problem solving, data analysis, design, and testing skills.
  • Ability to plan, implement and execute projects.
  • Ability to work cohesively within a team environment and lead projects, as needed.
  • Ability to troubleshoot assigned issues and resolve promptly.
  • Writing technical specifications and system design documents.
