10+ years of work-related experience within the mainframe (z/OS) environment as a Performance Monitoring expert.

Deep technical understanding of z/OS performance items of CPU Statistics o Memory Utilization of CF Utilization of WLM.

Experience tuning various z/OS components (coupling facilities, CP's, zIIP's, memory, etc.).
-
Experience creating/consuming performance reports.
-
Experience at trouble shooting performance issues within the z/OS environment (if they have experience looking beyond the z/OS environment even better, but I know that may be a large ask).
-
Experience tuning the environment for the various z/OS Subsystems (i.e., knowing that a DB2 group buffer pool/local buffer pool may need resized).

Experience converting to log streams.

Strong knowledge of RMF, RMF Monitor III, OMEGAMON and SMF data collection and reporting (TDS today).

Proven experience as an IT professional.

Proficiency with database applications, knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language.

Familiarity with IBM monitoring & reporting tools such as OMEGAMON, TDS, ZDS, IZPCA, etc.,

Ability to dive and troubleshoot performance related issues.

Ability to dive in and troubleshoot mainframe performance related issues.

Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners.

Some travel may be required, including overnight stays.
