Information Security Engineer

Grow your career as an Information Security Engineer with an innovative global bank in Tampa, FL. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will start working remotely until offices reopen, then will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Engaged in development build and support from initiation to closure, support for BAU mode along with promotion of.
  • Accountable for engineering standards results along with push across the organization.
  • Work with company engineering organizations, project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outline in impletion of engineering excellence.
  • Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders along with timelines and monitor with metrics.
  • Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout engineering life cycle while working with team members and company engineering.
  • Effectively manage engineering standards by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved with by partners before implementation across the organization.
  • Determine how results will be measured and complete a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved.
  • Develop tools and best practice for repeatable tasks and execution.
  • Ensure all project documents are safely archived following project completion.
 
Applications Support
  • Respond to customer requests for used cases and provide full support/consultation for better implementation of engineering standards and execution.
  • Maintain flexible work schedules, which may include evenings, weekends or holidays to work globally and provide trainings where required.
  • Resolve customer technical issues through diligent research, reproduction and troubleshooting.
  • Document all technical inquiries, develop and review content for knowledgebase using tool set and validation and checkout.
 
Qualifications:
  • Engineering Graduate with 12 to 14 years of working experience. Post Graduate with 8 years of working experience working independently is desirable.
  • Essential Technical Skills: Java – 8, Oracle 12c, Unix, Windows, Shell Scripting, Perl & Python. Working experience in Java development to enable strategic solutions within corporate environment
  • Essential Skills: Project management skills, client communication, development to enable strategic solutions within corporate environment.
  • Preferred Skills: LDAP, Active Directory, usage of NAS, SAN and Replicated Storage (SRDF/Replicated NAS).
  • Familiarity with project management tools and/or software packages.
  • Good working knowledge of Networking
  • Prefer experience working within an Enterprise IT Support environment.
  • Ability to manage escalation from senior management and other departments.
