Position: JR. Information Security Analyst
Location: 100% work from home. Must be able to work US Eastern time zone hours of 8-5
Term: until the end of 2021
Day-to-Day Responsibilities: The Information Security Analyst maintains and supports technologies and programs deployed to enforce clients security policies. Administer various Information Security management functions related to IT security, policy and procedures, security awareness training, and legal matters. Provide governance and management of IT control frameworks to ensure regulatory compliance. Monitor and evaluate key IT controls. Specifically, This is a junior level role doing a lot of legwork going through the information security system at this company and finding out what exceptions are in place.. You will document the risks associated with these exceptions. For example, a database is exempt from being updated. That is an exception to company normal security (keeping software/hardware updated). Why is that particular database not updated and what risk does that pose?
- 2 years experience in security operations/administration, audit, controls, and/or risk management.
- Ability to do research and analysis.
- Ability to document risks associated with IT Security exceptions
- Experience with a GRC tool
