Position: Information Security Engineer
Location: Remote in the U.S.
Term: 12 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • This position is for an engineer with several years’ experience working with SiteMinder. In this position the engineer will be assisting with non-production environment projects and support. This includes designing SiteMinder policies as applicable to application requirements, migrating SiteMinder policies, configuring SAML Identity and Service Providers, and documenting process and procedures for hand-off to production support resources for deployment to the production environment.
  • This position also is responsible for troubleshooting both LDAP and SiteMinder services and assisting with problem resolution with SiteMinder web-agents or IDF Connect plug-in (Cloud-based integrations) in the non-production environment.
  • Implement new application configurations in non-production environments or modify existing configurations according to requirements gathered from customers or as part of normal daily maintenance with a primary focus around SiteMinder components.
  • Designs, documents, tests, maintains, and provides issue resolution recommendations for moderately complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication/directory services, email, internet, applications, and/or endpoint security.
  • Provides security consulting on medium projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information security policy, and standards.
  • Leads computer security incident response activities for moderately complex events, conducts technical investigation of security related incidents and conducts post-incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies.
  • Reviews and correlates security logs.
  • Identifies security vulnerabilities/issues, performs risk assessments, and evaluates remediation alternatives.
  • Possesses subject matter expertise in industry leading security solutions and best practices used to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification/modeling/monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity.
  • May interface with senior management.


Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • Candidate requires expert level knowledge of SiteMinder both the Policy Server and WebAgent, and has detailed understanding of SiteMinder Federation and how the product works.
  • Proficient with SiteMinder Policy Server including deployment, configuration, and maintenance of SiteMinder on Windows Server and/or RHEL platforms.
  • Proficient with SiteMinder Web Agent components including support and troubleshooting web-agents on Apache, IIS, etc.
  • Proficient with SAML/Federation technologies including setting up SAML Identity and Service Providers.
  • 5+ years of information security applications and systems experience
  • 3+ years of SiteMinder experience
  • 3+ years of Single Sign-on experience
  • 1+ year of SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) experience
  • 1+ year of IAM (Identity and Access Management) experience
  • 1+ year of IIS experience
  • 1+ year of Apache experience
  • 1+ year of experience with private cloud technologies
  • 5+ years of information security applications and systems experience
  • 4+ years of information technology applications and systems experience
