Responsibilities include:
- Managing a team and working to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and efficient IT solutions.
- Explaining plans to designers and developers; gaining alignment and understanding Development lifecycle of software applications and other business process optimization projects.
- Ensuring application performance, reliability, and quality.
- Leading the Guidewire's Solution Delivery Practice overall effectiveness and efficiency.
- Working with others to design solutions; gathering information, performing analysis, and eliciting the details of user requirements in discussion with users.
- Attracting, developing and retaining Guidewire specific technology staff.
- Defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing Guidewire specific technologies.
- Completing projects, perform demand capacity management, and coordinate overall resource-based utilization with co-suppliers and business partners.
- Ensuring IT application development process disciplines (solution delivery, project management, work requests, QA, etc.) and standards are established, effectively
- managed, and performed.
- Preserving assets and overall information security through defined controls and other appropriate audit-based activities.
- Defining, delivering, and supporting Guidewire centric disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
- Prior management experience required.
- Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle and project life cycle principles.
- Advanced knowledge of various programming languages and/or advanced knowledge of web design languages, scripting tools, and protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
- 10-15 years of related technical management experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct Guidewire development leadership experience.
- Responsible for Information technology staff results
- Prior experience in Guidewire Policy Center P&C Personal Auto Multi-State Rollout.
- Prior experience in Guidewire Major Version Upgrade.
- Tactful and diplomatic.
- Have strong knowledge of the latest IT systems, legislation, and best practice.
- Ability to keep cool under pressure.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Can communicate complex technical ideas in a straightforward way.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without Employer Sponsorship.
