Grow your career as a Governance Analyst with an innovative global bank in Irving, TX. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will start working remotely until offices reopen, then will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week. Will be responsible for leading a variety of architecture and engineering activities including establishing process, governance, and controls concerning the design and development of software in coordination with the Technology team. Will lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.
  • Engage with management at all levels in discussions regarding architecture, engineering, and control as subject matter experts in critical compliance areas affecting the organization.
  • Gather, compile and analyze data in order to extract information pertaining to critical control analysis at the country, regional, global or risk level as needed.
  • Enforce the current key processes with intra/inter organizations and performing oversight of management and critical controls within the organization.
  • Establish key performance indicator levels and Key Risk Indicators through active engagement and monitoring of critical processes and functions.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in key processes, driving strategic initiatives and implementing enhancements, managing technical projects including analysis and project tracking.
  • Partner with teams to ensure seamless implementation of enhancements, or remediation efforts or handover of new functions.
  • Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls & compliance, architecture governance initiatives. Develop key control requirements to feed into automation and other processes.
  • Oversee the agenda and manage architecture review boards.
  • Monitor and track progress of working groups that make key architecture decisions.
  • Maintain and manage the core process for architecture governance.
  • Impact the engineering & architecture function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel or facilitating services.
  • Conduct and facilitate key forums and working groups to drive governance initiatives.
  • Establish dashboards and mechanisms to track decisions and demonstrate adherence and progress.
  • Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
