Position: Relocation Specialist
Location: Houston, TX 77046 -Remote
Term:  12 months
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Provides ongoing support for Global Mobility Manager as required.
  • Assists Global Mobility Manager with questions from employees, HR, business leaders, and recruiters.
  • Requests and shares cost projections from the company’s relocation management vendor and tax services provider where necessary.
  • Enters new relocation and assignment initiation requests into the company’s relocation management vendor system, ensuring data is accurate and abides by current policy guidelines.
  • Manages policy exception approvals, liaising with the company’s Global Mobility Manager and the company’s relocation management vendor.
  • Generates reporting to track repayment agreements.
  • Submits request to the HR information system team to log relocation repayment agreements and start dates.
  • Utilizes the company’s relocation management vendor system to create the relocation repayment details and provide reporting to HR for relocation repayment collection.
  • Generates reporting to track and monitor Visa expiration dates for sponsored employees.
  • Initiates the Visa extension process with immigration firm contact.
  • Submits request to the HR information system team to log Visa expiration updates as well as Visa status changes.
  • Initiates immigration requests, liaising with the Global Mobility Manager and the company’s immigration vendor.
  • Receives documents for signature for Global Mobility Manager and mails signed documents to immigration firm contact.
  • Facilitates the LCA process internally for all new hire and extension Visa needs.
  • Coordinates employee packages with our immigration firm vendor.
  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining the company’s immigration documentation.
  • Assists the Global Mobility Manager with documenting the posting and recruiting process for the US PERM Green Card stage.
  • Generates ad hoc immigration and relocation reports as needed for business needs.
  • Assists the Global Mobility Manager with all H1B Cap reporting and documentation.
Is this a good fit? (Requirements):
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years’ experience in the Global Mobility/Relocation industry.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in administration needs for Global Mobility, Immigration, Relocation, and Expat Assignment Management.
  • Experience in vendor management or working with external vendors.
  • Ability to learn quickly and problem solve effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization, including executives.
  • Flexibility with changing immigration climates and relocation trends.
  • Professionalism and confidentiality in all channels of communication.
  • Customer-service focused and conscientious.
  • Detailed reporting capabilities with Peoplesoft and Excel.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and monitor deadlines appropriately.
