Are you a dynamic PMO Director with experience managing a team of 10+? Our direct client is seeking a contract to hire or direct hire FVP, PMO to help further develop and manage the existing PMO. This is a hybrid position located in one of the following locations: Chicago or Oakbrook, Illinois, Farmers Branch, TX, or Tampa, Florida.

What you will be doing:

  • The FVP, PMO will lead and manage a team of 10 – 14 staff members that perform program management, project management, project analyst and project coordinator functions
  • The role will be responsible for further developing and managing the PMO, enhancing and maturing the tools and process for the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects and programs
  • The FVP, PMO aligns decision making and governance at the appropriate level to ensure that all projects and programs of work follow established standards for change management
  • The PMO scope is inclusive of information technology, facilities, regulatory compliance, and process improvement projects in addition to including leading cross-functional efforts to drive standardization, stabilization and simplification of Fay process; drives operational excellence implementation to improve operations and business processes across Fay companies, business units and departments
  • Manage and mentor a team of Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Analysts, and Project Coordinators
  • Further develop the new hire training curriculum and materials for all PMO Staff
  • Manage the portfolio of active and pending projects and programs for the enterprise
  • Manage the enterprise integrated project view (IPV) using the ServiceNow Project Portfolio Management (PPM) module and any other required tools
Preferred Experience:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Project Management
  • 10+ years of experience leading people/ leading teams to include the acquisition and allocation of resources, performance management and talent development in leading a PMO
  • Knowledge of process improvement and project management methodologies
  • Experience as a Project Sponsor or Subject Matter Expert responsible for leading business change/transformation initiatives
  • Previous experience with business transformation within small to mid-size companies
  • Strong compliance orientation; experience identifying and implementing program measures and controls
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience leading initiatives across a distributed organization structure
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize a demanding and varied workload
  • Strength of leadership with proven ability to foster an environment of positive employee engagement and trust
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly establish credibility, coupled with the ability to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities
  • Client focused with strong execution skills and a results orientation; able to link to business needs with tactical execution and results
  • High learning agility with the ability to learn and integrate multiple variables, make connections and identify/ implement successful solutions
