Position: Full Stack Java Developer
Location: New York, New York, 10006
Term: 3 months

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Will support tier 1 regulated aligned work with case management systems that submits reports to the regulators.
  • Will participate in daily scrum meetings and develop accustom java applications specific to user story definitions
  • Participates in design, development and implementation of large and complex application
  • Develop a loosely coupled architecture making use of the appropriate constructs which should include micro-services, work flows and routes.
  • Work with Jenkins and CI tools to automate development, build, deployment and testing.
  • Build secure and API frameworks by following industry standards within digital channels.
  • Plan, perform, and act as the escalation point for complex platform designs, coding, and testing
  • Acts in a lead technical role providing technical guidance and consultation with application teams, clients, and Engineering Managers for their technology domain environments including but not limited to cloud, middleware, operating systems, applications, Software-as-a-Service, and Platform-as-a-Service products. Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs using Agile development practices.
  • Provides the strategy and design for projects associated with their technology domain including, upgrades and deployments.
  • Utilizes advanced technologies and methods to integrate their technology domain with other technology domains, enabling the creation of new or expanded heterogeneous environments.
  • Develops new documentation and departmental technical procedures.
  • Directs the gathering of performance statistics to assist in determining hardware and communication tools needed to support projected transaction volumes, response time and system availability targets.
  • As an escalation point, provides guidance and direction to less experienced staff in resolution of highly complex technical problems.
  • Leads projects and manages the work of less experienced staff.
  • Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported technology domain.

Is this a good fit? (Requirements):

  • Be comfortable in an Agile environment, have an understanding of version control (GIT), CICD, uDeploy, Jenkins and able to generate documentation as required
  • Oracle, Java/J2EE, XML, SpringBoot experience
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of Java experience
  • 3-5 years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL server, or Teradata
  • 3+ years of JavaScript Frameworks experience (jQuery, Ext JS, Kendo UI and/or Angular JS)
  • 3+ years of RESTful or SOAP web services
  • 2+ years of risk and regulatory compliance experience

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with enterprise level Case Management & Reporting solutions 
  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
