Long term contract in Plano, TX for a Full Stack Developer/UI-UX Designer. Will use company-approved systems and tools to develop and support web applications to facilitate existing and future interactions with the company’s Data Catalog, Metadata Management solution, and API Catalog through an internal and external facing consolidated portal web interface (Data Marketplace). Will be responsible for full lifecycle development and maintenance of applications supporting a wide variety of business functions. Will provide technical expertise in one or more programming languages or tools and will contribute through hands-on coding of new functionality/enhancements to existing systems as well as learning new coding languages. Will also have the responsibilities of a Full Stack UI/UX Designer which includes creating UI design mockups and prototypes, logos, brand identity, color theme, typography, as well as the overall user experience of the application. Will require some After Effects motion graphics as well. Will be responsible for the layout of the application, as well as the look and feel.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Work independently or as part of a team on the development and support of software applications.
  • Work with business analysts and user communities to understand business requirements.
  • Perform analysis and documentation for system design as well as on-going documentation of development.
  • Code using specific technologies and tools in keeping with current technology trends and standards.
  • Perform testing of applications and perform bug fixes, working with testers and users to ensure quality of code and proper application functionality.
  • Provide technical support during implementation efforts, working with technical team members and with business users as required to provide troubleshooting and solutions to technical issues.
  • Provide on-going post-implementation technical support of applications.
  • Create user-end documentation and may be involved in user training.
  • Design and mockup proof of concepts for approvals before coding.
  • Design the prototype in motion graphics, to show Product Owner how the solution should work.
  • At times, will be needed to create video commercials for the Product or Application.
  • Resize all product images to fit the set dimension of the products.
  • Resize all images for low-res to high-res images.
  • Design some products that does not comes with an image.
  • Experience in working in an Agile/Scrum team, and knowledge of sprints, stories, epics, etc.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
  • Complete understanding on node and type script application stack design.
  • Strong expertise in Angular Stack programming.
  • Strong in SQL queries.
  • Experience working in Postgres or similar major databases on Cloud.
  • Expert knowledge in web services and APIs, including building brand new APIs.
  • Strong in JavaScript and jQuery programming, with significant hands-on in JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML.
  • Firm understanding/experience on Ajax.
  • Good understanding and hands-on experience on Twitter bootstrap (or similar UI open-source libraries), JSON and CSS.
  • Expert knowledge in integration in ServiceNow, Microsoft Azure, and other 3rd party’s services.
  • Good understanding on how application servers work, http requests, debugging http requests.
  • Expert knowledge in responsive framework.
  • Prefer experience in mobile application development.
  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role, in a purely independent capacity.
  • Portfolio of design projects.
  • Expertise in working with wireframe tools such as Adobe XD and InVision.
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets.
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Gather and evaluate evolving UI/UX design requirements in collaboration with product managers, engineers, and architects.
  • Re-design existing themes, such as theme colors, product logo, etc.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
  • Build page navigation buttons and search fields.
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables).
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams, product owner, architects, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UI/UX problems independently (e.g., responsiveness), and conduct/prepare root cause analysis of the problems/issues.
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.
