Financial Reporting Analyst

Grow your career as a Financial Reporting Analyst with an innovative global bank in Getzville, NY. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will be required to work onsite 2-3 days per week.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Manage client queries for EMIR trade reporting.
  • Manage client queries for CFTC trade reporting.
  • Investigate issues and co-ordinate with internal groups and client to resolve.
  • Analyze position breaks and liaise with tech support teams to drive these volumes down.
  • Help to define requirements for any new reporting jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate and complete testing of all regulatory reporting flows for example MIFID 2 and Brexit.
  • Compile Monthly CFTC/EMIR proforma for submission to Middle Office.
  • Compile monthly business metrics decks.
  • Produce daily metrics including daily dashboard.
  • Influence decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating others in area.
  • Evaluate moderately complex issues with substantial potential impact.
  • Provide informal guidance or on-the-job-training to new team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a related role to cash and trade operations and management.
  • Excellent MS Office Excel skills including use of pivot tables and Macros.
  • Knowledge of Access and Visual Basic is preferred.
