Terrific 6+ month contract opportunity in Tampa, FL for a Financial Business Analyst . Will be responsible for performing System Maintenance activities to assist US Regulatory Reporting. This will include reviewing requests submitted by users, tracking activities, prioritizing maintenance tasks in the controlled environment, and escalating issues to responsible teams. Will assist UAT activities of Financial Reporting system transformation project.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Support system maintenance.
  • Proactively monitor maintenance requests and take actions in a timely and accurately manner.
  • Engage with cross functional teams for key processes, and escalate issues to Production Support and Technology team to mitigate operational risks.
  • Assist UAT activities which include preparing test plan/scope/scenarios, executing test scripts, analyzing the results, identifying defects, tracking test progress and following up with business and technology teams for retest and signoff.
  • Support investigations and queries related to maintenance requests, and connect the dots to allow timely incident resolution.
  • Understand and support the troubleshooting of incidents for core accounting and financial applications used by the company’s Finance & Risk Shared Services structure.

  • Support analytical investigations on queries and data related to users’ requests, and connect the dots to allow timely incident resolution.
  • Investigate, track and coordinate the resolution of financial reporting related issues, being able to explain the narrative behind the conclusions.
  • Articulate root cause of issues and escalate to managers and seniors to avoid recurrence of failures.
  • Document properly all investigations performed and support data extraction with evidences if required.
  • Support process improvement projects by understanding E2E Incident Management dataflow information and driving Partners to achieve agreed goals and stabilization of the current process/platforms.
  • Engage and enable partners to resolve queries and incidents related to different accounting and reporting systems.
  • Interact with senior levels within Finance, CDO and Technology teams to review problems and identify permanent resolution of recurring items in a post-mortem fashion.
  • Quick turnaround time in researching issues and providing feedback to users and seniors alike.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the company, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
 
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and financial applications management with commensurate stakeholder management experience.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel, Power Point, Access, Power BI).
  • Bachelor’s/University degree.
  • HP Performance Center and GIRA experience: Setup, Configuration, Script Development experience, defect tracking are preferred.
  • Understand of Incident Management process, with focus on financial reporting systems.
  • Understand of data flow for Regulatory reporting is preferred. Genesis or Finance Full Suite knowledge preferred.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment.
  • Good knowledge of banking products/systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of Service Now utilization (understanding status, reports extraction, etc.) is preferred.
  • New technologies savvy, especially related to process improvement and digitization, with focus on improving E2E Incident Management Process is a plus.
  • Strong communication and diplomacy skills.
